In 2020, the Washington Historical Society board of trustees learned the museum needed numerous repairs. To raise funds for repairs and improvements, the board is launching a capital campaign in 2021, “Keeping History Alive.” Our goal is $500,000.
Our proposed projects include:
Repairs, Replacements
- Flat standing seam metal roof
- Guttering, downspouts and soffits
- Several windows and doors
- Fill and seal asphalt parking lot
- Eliminate exterior and interior stormwater problems
Remodeling Projects
- New architectural ceiling tile, new carpeting and flooring
- Modern displays on the lower level
- Audio-Visual Capabilities
- Improved archival and record storage
- Upgraded heat and air conditioning capabilities
A portion of funds raised may go to the Washington Historical Society Foundation.
