Campaign 2021

In 2020, the Washington Historical Society board of trustees learned the museum needed numerous repairs. To raise funds for repairs and improvements, the board is launching a capital campaign in 2021, “Keeping History Alive.” Our goal is $500,000.

Our proposed projects include:

Repairs, Replacements

  • Flat standing seam metal roof
  • Guttering, downspouts and soffits
  • Several windows and doors
  • Fill and seal asphalt parking lot
  • Eliminate exterior and interior stormwater problems

 Remodeling Projects

  • New architectural ceiling tile, new carpeting and flooring
  • Modern displays on the lower level
  • Audio-Visual Capabilities
  • Improved archival and record storage
  • Upgraded heat and air conditioning capabilities

A portion of funds raised may go to the Washington Historical Society Foundation.

Please give your careful consideration to doing your part in “keeping history alive” here in Washington.
