Fourth and Market Exhibits

zither.jpgExhibits on the museum's two levels include hundreds of items representing Washington's past.

They range from the John B. Busch Brewery, Schwarzer Zither factory, Dr. Bozzo's office, Zoff Photography Studio, the Washington Turnverein, shoe factories, advertising items, Washington pottery to the corn cob pipe industry.

Artifacts have been selected to reflect the area's human culture, from primitive stone tools used by Native Americans to the "golden era" of Washington in the 1890s.

Recently, the museum added display panels offering information on a variety of subjects. These tell the stories of Washington-area history where we lack artifacts.

Both levels are accessible through the use of stairs and elevator.
