Exploring Missouri's German Heritage

Missouri Life Media will present its documentary, "Exploring Missouri's German Heritage." A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Washington Historical Society in honor of the late Marc Houseman, historian and the society's first director.

Danita Allen Wood, co-owner of Missouri Life Media and the film's executive producer, said, "We are so happy to be presenting this in the original Busch Brewery in Washington." 

Marc Houseman is one of the historians on the documentary, which allows viewers to sample German culture and influence upon Missouri's development. This area of history was one of Houseman's passions. The documentary includes rare archival materials. 

This showing will be accompanied by commentary from Dr. W. Arthur Mehrhoff, author of the book, "Explore Missouri's German Heritage," the Emmy-winning documentary producers, Emmy-winning Missouri Life TV host Meredith Hoenes, and members of the Missouri Humanities Council.
