History Day is a day dedicated to bringing local history alive for area fourth graders. Started in May 2010 with four schools participating, History Day has grown to include two days, seven schools and over 200 students.
Students visit five stations set up in and around the museum. Each station deals with a different aspect of Washington’s history.
Stations have included zither making in Washington, local soldiers' involvement in WWI and WWII and local activities to support the troops, Civil War events in Washington, volunteer fire department and old fire trucks and two “characters” discussing life in the early 1900’s in Washington.
